Rebecca Turner

Rebecca Turner

Rebecca Turner

Rebecca was born and raised in Lampasas, Texas, the youngest of 5 children. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1980, and is currently a Licensed Pastoral/Christian Counselor with Professional Clinical membership in the National Christian Counselors Association, and active membership in the American Association of Christian Counselors. She has earned advanced credentials in dispute/conflict resolution through Pepperdine University, and trauma/crisis counseling through the National Christian Counselors’ Association. Her areas of specialization include Depression and Anxiety, Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse, Domestic Violence, Conflict Resolution, Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Rebecca loves her profession, enjoys the challenge of owning her own business, and feels that this is what God has called her to do with her life.

Rebecca has a clear view of how she believes the counseling process should work: “A client should leave a session with a sense of hope and encouragement, and some thoughts to chew on. If I don’t provide that client with a tangible result during that hour, then we’ve both wasted our time and money. The counseling process is not always easy or quick, and it can be extremely emotional, but it should always be productive and purpose-driven, and should provide a person with hope for the future.”

Rebecca has been married to her husband, Tom, since 1986, and they have 2 daughters, Caitlin and Allison. Tom grew up in San Antonio, Texas, graduated from the University of Texas, and is now a manager with Boeing. Rebecca and her family have been active members with the Bellevue church of Christ for over 20 years. Tom serves as an elder, treasurer, small group leader, and adult education instructor. Over the years Rebecca has served as a teacher for children and adults, ministry leader, retreat coordinator, women’s ministry song leader, and praise team member.
